Lhasa Kailash small group Joining tour in April. 14 days tour starts from Lhasa Tibet or from Kathmandu Nepal.

The best season of Kailash tour is from May month to September. Small group tour can start early at April and can goes up to October month. The easiest way to reach Kailash is from Nepal. From Nepal there are 3 best routes for this. The first route is Overland tour through Kerung boarder. The second one is from Lhasa, fly to Lhasa airport from Kathmandu and drive to Kailash. Thirst is from Taklakot route, Kathmandu Nepaljung Simikot and to Taklakot.

Tibet Kailash Travels and Tours is more focusing small group joining tour to Kailash Manasarovar. Mainly following 2 routes through Kerung and Lhasa. Our firt group starting at April month which is at 25th. This itinerary meets full moon day at Lake Manasarovar. Plan is Kathmandu to Lhasa Or direct meet at Lhasa, drive to Kailash through Ghyantse, Shigatse, Saga, Parian, visit and walk around Mount Kailash Manasarovar and drive back to Kathmandu via Kerung.

Small joining tour is only foreigners and Nepali passport holder. For Indian passport holder, rules and regulation from Tibet is different. They should be at least 24 pax in a grou to have reasonable cost.

Kathmandu (1,300m) – Lhasa (3,650m)

Departure Transport to Tribhuban Airport and Trans – Himalayan flight to Tibet (Gongaar airport) (1hr.) Drive to Lhasa (1hr.) – Full rest for acclimatization

Day 04

27th April

In Lhasa:  Full Day Sightseeing Tour In Lhasa/ Acclimatization 
Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Bazaar  – O/N at   Hotel.

Day 05

28th April

Drive Lhasa – Shigatse (350 km – 8/9 Hrs). After breakfast in your hotel drive to Shigatse which is the 2nd largest city of Tibet. Built in 1447 by the first Dalai lama the Tashilampo Monastery in Shigatse is a very important monastery in Tibet as it is known as seat of the Panchan Lama

Day 06

29th April

Drive Shigatse – Saga (450km – 9 hours).We start an early morning drive to Saga, please note this will be a long drive but on the way we can make enough stop and lunch. O/N at Local Guest House.

Day 07

30th April

Drive Saga – Lake Manasarovar (410km – 8 Hours) The full moon day for pilgrimage, this is an auspicious day for all of us having first glimpse of the Holy lake Manasarovar and view of Mt. Kailash from The Horr Chu pass. Stay in Chiu Gompa,

Day 08

1st May

Lake Manasarover to Darchen ( 4600m) 53km – 1 Hour

Visit Chiu Gompa and explore Lake Manasarover then drive to Darchen. Preparation day for the Kora

2nd May

Darchen to Derapuk (4750m) 19km

Drive to Serchung and start Kora (trek) to Depapuk. It is 1 hour drive and another 5 hours easy walking

Day 10

3rd May

Derakuk- Dolmala (5620m)- Zutulpuk 21km – 9 Hours Continue trek to Zutulphul cross over dolma- la Pass and walking down to Juthulpuk

Day 11

4th May

Zutulphuk to Darchen to Saga – 3 hours walking and 6 hours driving

Finish of Kailash kora and reach at Saga. Trek about 10 Km to the point and take your transportation to drive back Saga via Darchen O/N at Guest House

Day 12

5th May

Saga to Kerung 9270km – 6 Hours)

Scenic drive back to Kurung. Kerung is last Tibetan town near Nepal Tibet boarder.

Day 13

6th May

Drive to Rasuwagadi – Nepal Tibet immigration and cross. Good bye to Tibetan guide and driver. Drives continue to Kathmandu Nepal. (140 km – 8 Hours)

7th May

Departure – we arrange your departure transportation to International airport

Extra info about the tour

  • Tour is small group tour as per itinerary
  • If group size is more than 6 peoples, we convert basic accommodation to standard accommodation in Kailash region with same cost. But 3 nights (Manasarovar and 2 nights in Kailash kora available only basic accommodation)
  • Tours also have option to join from Lhasa. In this case USD 435 is less from the tour cost. You also have to obtain Chinese visa in your country 
  • Tour including breakfast every morning. Lunch and dinner is extra can buy from local restaurants, hotels, guest houses. Similarly shops are available for drinks including drinking water
