Day to Day Itinerary:
Hide All DaysDay 1 : Arrival in Tribhuban International airport Kathmadnu. Transfer to Hotel and overnight
Representative from Tibet Kailash Travel pick you from airport and transfer to hotel. Remining time is for rest in your hotel today.
Day 2 : Sightseeing in Kathmandnu. Visit 3 major sites, come back to hotel and trip preparation. overnight in Kathmandu
After breakfast in Hotel, our tour guide will lead you to Pashupatinath temple, Bauddhanath stupa and Kathmandu Durbar squire. Tour is driving with car together. come back to hotel and prepare your cycle. Tour discussion and final preparation the tour.
Day 3 : Fly to Lhasa (3,650m) from Kathmadnu. Transfer to Lhasa city and Overnight at hotel
After your breakfast in hotel, drive to international airport for your flight to Lhasa with your cycle. Flight itself is scenic with Himalayan of Nepal and Tibet. It is recommend to request left hand seat with window. Reach at Gonggar airport. Our Tibetan guide and driver will meet us and drive to Lhasa city. Check in hotel and full rest.
Day 4 : Sightseeing in Lhasa City. come back to hotel and short riding tour with your cycle. Overnight at Hotel
Guide from Tibet Kailash Travel will lead you sightseeing in historical places around Lhasa. Jokhang temple, the house of Lord Buddha was found in 647 Ad by King Songtsen Gampo. Founded in 1419 Ad Sera monastery is university for monks. Another visit today, Drepung Monastery is also a university of over 7700 monks. come back to hotel. Fit your bikes and short riding around the city.
Day 5 : Second day sightseeing in Lhasa and srort riding tour with your cycle. Overnight at Hotel
After your breakfast in hotel start sightseeing in Lhasa. Potala palace in Lhasa is house of Dalai Lama until 1959. It is listed in world’s heritage sites and one of the wonder of the world. Another attraction Norbulinka palace is traditional summer palace of Dalai Lama built from 1755. Visit Barkhor squire which is old market of Lhasa. Come back to hotel and involve in short riding with your cycle
Day 6 : Start riding out from Lhasa (85 Km) Overnight at tent at foot of Kamba Pass.
After breakfst in hotel, we leave Lhasa and cycle along the Tsangpo River to the foot of the Kamba Pass (3700 m). Take hot packed lunch served by our team and continue riding to the camp. Our staff team make ready all the tented camp by the time your reach there. Dinner at tented dinning.
Day 7 : Ride to Yamdrok Lake (55km) via Kamba La Pass. Overnight at camp
Short but first hard riding today. A strong uphill climb reaches a summit lavishly adorned with prayer flags (4794m). Our staff team prepare to take Lunch on the way at suitable place. After Lunch continue descending alongside Lake Yamdruk, at the far side of which we set camp (4490m). Overnight accommodation in tents camp.
Day 8 : Riding to foot of Karo La pass 54km - 4,750m) Overnight at camp
Leaving the beautiful lake behind, we cycle through a ravine and up to the foot of the Karo Pass (4750m). As usual our staff setup Lunch place on the way. Reach at the place where our tented village will be prepared for the night. take dinner and Overnight at camp
Day 9 : Riding to Gyantse (80 km - 3,980m) via Karo La pass (5,010m) Overnight at Hotel
First section is hard uphill after starting from your campsite. A scenic Himalayan range can be explore from Karo La pass (5010m) Than riding all the way downhill and flat land to Gyantse. As usual our staff team serve you Lunch on the way. You will get stay at Hotel in Gyantse and Dinner yourself in restaurant.
Day 10 : Riding to Shigatse (93 km - 3900m) Overnight at Hotel
Morning visit Palkhor Monastery and the old part of Gyantse town. Today's ride is a comfortable ride on a nice tarmac road to Shigatse. As we follow the Nyang Chu River, we turn one corner after another along a series of bends in the road. Unusually for this trip we are on flat road all day. Lunch on the way and Dinner yourself in Shigatse. Get comfortable hotel to overnight here.
Day 11 : Rest day at Shigatse. Visit Tashilampo monastery and Overnight at Hotel
Today is a rest day, with the tour of the Tashi Lhampo monastery led by our Tibetan guide. The Tashi Lhampo Monastery is seat to the Panchen Lama, the second most important spiritual leader of Tibet and was founded by the 1st Dalai Lama in 1447. It is one of the four great monasteries of Central Tibet and was supervised and looked after by the Dalai Lamas and Panchen Lamas of the Gelugpa, or Yellow Hat tradition. Breakfast in Hotel, Lunch and Dinner yourself.
Day 12 : Riding to the base of the Tso La pass (95km - 4,160m). Overnight at camp
Climbing steadily up 125m in the first 8km at the start of a long day's cycling. After some 35 km we cross the barely discernible Tso La pass (4050m). The undulating terrain takes us through a landscape of fields. The surrounding mountains close in on us as we enter into a river valley before reaching our camp a short distance before the Tso La pass.
Day 13 : Ride to base of Gyatso La via Tso La pass of 4,580m (65km - 4,145m) Overnight at camp
Ride climb to Tso La Pass (4,580m), followed by a fast downhill descent of 425m over 29 km, and a flat stretch into Lhatse. Lhatse is reminiscent of a Wild West frontier town. We head out of Lhatse and into the Chusar Chu valley, where we camp at a very picturesque spot along the riverside. Our staff provide you Lunch one the way at suitable place and Dinner in tented dining
Day 14 : Ride to Shegar via 5220m Lakpa Pass (75km - 4,408m) Overnight at camp
Today we have to contemplate the stunning canyon of the 5220m Lakpa Pass. On a clear day you will be rewarded for your effort with your first view of Mount Everest. After a 40 km ride through flat prairie towns you will arrive in the town of Pelbar, often refereed to as Shegar. This town is a popular stopover for anyone heading to the Everest region. Overnight
Day 15 : Ride to Tashi Dzong via Pang La pass 5205m. (80km - 4,213m) Overnight at camp
Road today divert from the Lhasa-Kathmandu highway and head towards the world's highest peak. First you are faced with 20km of uphill switchbacks before you reach the summit of the Pang Pass (5150m). Enjoy lunch as you gaze over Makalu (8463m), Shishapangma (8012m), Cho Oyu (8210m), Lhotse (8516m), Everest (8850m) and several other breathtaking peaks. Then a 20-kilometer downhill follows to the Rongbuk Valley Tashi Zhong.
Day 16 : Ride to Ronbuk Monastery (34km - 5,000m) Overnight at camp
Short riding but bumpy road at high latitude might make the day more difficult. Almost all the road lead simple uphill riding till Ronbuk monastery. Where we camp near at guest houses. Clear views of Mount Everest and other mountain can seen from here. It is lucky to get good weather normally at evening time in Ronbuk valley.
Day 17 : Ride to Everest Base Camp, Hikking around and bak to Camp for overnight.
It is 8 kilometer from camp site to reach base of Mount Everest north site. Riding at highland of the world. You also can take short hiking tour from road site till the base. ride back to camp for overnight. It is good chance to visit Tibet oldest monastery Ronbuk Monastery.
Day 18 : Ride down to Tingri (78km - 4,355m) Overnight at Camp
Rinding back to Tingri via rough road. It should be very careful with your cycle at roads are containing with small rocks. Tingri is small Tibetan local town, where we are joining friendship Highway Lhasa Kathmandu.
Day 19 : Riding to Lalung La (73km - 4,560m) Overnight at camp
Riding begins in the flat road before lunch time. Then we tackle the gradual incline of the Lalung La Pass (5,09m). From here you will feel like you are as high as the peaks around you, including Shishapangma (8012m). Route also lead monasteries, fortresses and clear mountain rivers. Overnight accommodation in tents camp in the valley between two passes. this is the last night we are staying in highland.
Day 20 : Rie down to Nyalam or Zhangmu (115km) via Thang La Pass (5050m) Overnight at camp or in Guest Hosue
We get on land and final high pass today to Thang La, from where we can view stunning mountains of Himalayan range of Nepal and Tibet. Than the down hill leads toward Nyalam. The heavy wind may make your cycling journey challenging today. we also can make further down to Zhangmu town which is near from Nepal Tibet immigration. If we stay at Nyalam we camp and if get down to Zhangmu, stay in guest house.
Day 21 : Cross Nepal Tibet immigration and ride to Last Resort. (75km - 110m) Overnight at camp
Early in the morning ride to immigration. we good buy out Tibetan guide and drive from here. reach at Nepal site. continue riding through narrow road towards Last resort. Our Lunch will be at Kodari, a simple Nepali food from local restaurant. Camp at bank of Bhotekoshi River which is near from small Nepalese villages.
Day 22 : Riding to Dhulikhel and further to Kathmandu (92km - 1350) Overnight at Hotel
After last breakfast from our camp, start riding towards Kathmandu. It is flat land riding at beginning section. It is good scenery of local villages, fields and green forest. Narrow but paved road can be scary with speed local buses. Get one small hard section near at Dhulikhel gain flat and down hill ride to Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel
Day 23 : Rest day in Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel
It is rest day after long adventure riding. Day free, it can be your own walking tour around or shopping tour. Evening Tibet Kailash Travel invited at Nepali cultural restaurant for fair well with Nepali style foods and drinks.
Day 24 : Departure
We arrange departure to International airport. It is important to reach airport 3 hours before from your original flight time.

Accommodation in in Hotel, camp and may be in guest house for a nights in this tour. 3 star category hotels in Kathmandu, Lhasa, Shigatse and in Gyantse as twin sahring. Riding days as per itinerary is camping accommodation on twin sharing tent. - Back up - Transporation
We provide a backup VAN or Jeep for entire tour. Truck is as carrier of camping goods, foods and baggages - Foods
As per itienrary, only breakfast is in package at the time of you are staying in Hotel. Hot lunch is serve during the riding days and Dinner at camp in our tented dinning. All the foods are prepard by our own cooking team. Foods will be different verieties every day. - Drinking Water
Drinking water is bottled mineral water/ big and small bottled. We also provide you boiled drinking water to fill your hot thurmas bottles. - Toilet facilities
Other days than staying in Hotel, we fix a toilet tent in every camp. We may fix seperate toilet tents for ladies and jent in big group more than 10 peopels. - Staffs

There are hospital facilities in Kathmandu Lhasa and other main cities of Tibet. But not in remote area of Tibet Like Ronbuk, Everest Base Camp and other caming days after Gyantse. - Group size
We can run any group size in this trip. Altough 10 pax group is more suitable and tour cost is more reasonable - Age limitation
There is no any age limitation for Lhasa Kailash Tour. For Indian passport holder, there is age limitation. - Communication facilities
There are local telephones facilities in entire Tibet and Nepal. For your , mobile you need Nepali SIM card in Nepal site and Chinese SIM card once you enter Tibet. Chinese and Nepali sim card can buy after certain formalities and can recharge on the way. WIFI is available in Nepal part, central Tibet but not remote Tibet region. You can connect internet facility with Chinese sim card. Mobile network doesn’t work only one day at Ronbuk, Everest. - Physical fitness and doctor certificate
Physical fitness is important factor to make your trip success. But we do not need any doctor or medical certificate to obtain your Tibet permit and Visa. It is also important to have your previous experience of Cycling. - Acclimatization
Acclimatization in this tour have enogh as we stay 3 nights in Lhasa and on the way at Shigatse... - Extra activities
There can be extra activities in Nepal part. Bungee jumping in Bhotekoshi River is on the way and you can take this adventure activity. It does not spend any extr day from the itienrary. - Best season
Best season for Lhasa Kathmandu Cyclling Tour is from April till September month. In this months are not so cold weather and no snow at ligh passes of Tibet. - Extra Expenses
Extra cost of the tour is as mentioed in our cost excluding section. mainly your extra baggage cost in flight Kathmandnu Lhasa if any and your Lunch and Dinner cost in main cities.

- Cancel your trip before 3 month is free, If we need to issue air ticket of Kathmadnu - Lhasa we normally have to issue severeal months before. In case of cancellation your tour after issuing your ticket, cacellation charged.
