Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar – A famous pilgrimage place is in western Tibet. Thousands of peoples visit this place every year. The best season to go Kailash is from May till September, although small trip can be run from April till November. Place is more value for Hindu pilgrimage, Buddhist, Bon and Jain. Mount Kailash is unclimbed mountain of 6,638 miters. Pilgrimage make walk around the mountain, it called Kailash Parikrama, Kailash Kora or Kailash circumambulation.

Kailash Overland Tour from Kathmandu Nepal is the easiest way to reach Mount Kailash. After earthquake in April 2017, overland route of Kodari was block and still not open (Jan 1st 2018). Now another boarder between Nepal and Tibet is open that is Kerung boader. Kerung is towards north from Kathmandu after Langtang region. It is 125 kilometer from Kathmandu takes 8 hours driving. Boarder area is called Rasuwagadi. After f crossing bridge between Nepal and Tibet, another 24 kilometer drives to reach first Tibetan town Kerung.

Kerung route is the best route to reduce tour cost and reduce days of Kailash Tour. Kailash Tour itinerary from Kerung is standard 13 days. Tour is 3 nights in Kathmandu Nepal and 9 nights one the way in Kailash. This is including 3 days kailash Kora, one extra day in Kerung for acclimatization, enough time to explore Lake Manasarovar and time to prepare Kailash Kora.

Day 1: Arrival at Tribhuban International Airport Kathmandu (1,350m). Overnight at Hotel

Day 2: Day in Kathmandu. Sightseeing and trip preparation. Overnight at Hotel

Day 3: Drive to Nepal Tibet immigration Kerung. Cross boarder and reach at Tibetan site (3,600m). Overnight at Guest house

Day 4: Stay at Kerung. Short hiking for acclimatization. overnight at guest house

Day 5: Drive to Saga (230km/ 6 Hours - 4,450m) Overnight at Guest house

Day 6: Drive to Lake Mansarovar (370km / 7 Hours - 4,580m). Overnight at Guest house

Day 7: Exploration of Manasarovar and drive to Darchen 40km/ 1 Hour - 4,575 miters). Overnight at guest house

Day 8: Drive to valley of the God (7km). Start Kailash Parikrama (trekking 4/5 Hours). Reach at Derapuk (4,900 miters) and overnight at Guest House

Day 9: Second day of Kailash Parikrama. Reach at Juthulpuk (4,760m) via Dolma La pass (5,623m). Overnight at guest house

Day 10: last day of Kailash Kora. Trekking back to Darchen and Drive back to Saga. Overnight at Guest house

Day 11: Drive back to Kerung. Overnight at guest house
